Rooms We Heart: Office Inspiration

Office inspiration

It’s Monday and I’m sharing some home office inspiration to start the week off. Whether you are a freelancer who works from home, a stay at home mum, or someone who just wants to catch up on some work in your evenings, it is Oh So (!) important that your workspace allows you to tap into your productive and creative side. This is why I think that good storage is the key in a home office.

I like the traditional drawers of this vintage office (bottom left), but it cannot be denied that the illustrative inspiration wall (top right) is a really effective way to archive ideas visually, if you are working on a more creative project. For books and folders, I am a big ol’ fan of overhead wall shelving. Its neat, tidy and can be pretty inexpensive – and a wonderful way of displaying things in an attractive way. Plus, your reference material is always withing reach.

Here is a great article for more inspiration on styling your home office.

Which look is your favourite? Any home office management tips you’d like to share?

Trisha

  1. My eye is immediately drawn to the top right image, not least because of the Mac & Eames Plastic Armchair. But the flowers would have to go. That image bottom right isn’t for me, but I do like it. A great DIY office concept, elevated with the MacBook and touches of red. (I’m an Apple fanatic).

My home office is very neat and things are arranged just so. I can’t have something out of place… just wouldn’t be able to concentrate!

    Thanks Trisha!

  2. Oh G, nothing out of order??? Wow! A starck workspace indeed!

Top left is for me as I like lots of light and some cosyness.
    Thanks T.
