Having grown up without a particular penchant for bread, it has only been in the past few years that I have tried, baked and experimented with different bread flavours. So, this post pays homage to the vast variety of bread recipes you can find in the blogosphere! Both sweet and savory – with or without yeast!
This delicious combination of cinnamon and cardamon flavours would go well with a tart jam like gooseberry. I haven’t made it yet but it is on the list and I have had very high recommendations!
Living in Germany means that I am familiar and enthusiastic about all of these flavours. Very simple but affective – I made these last week and they did go down very well with a beer!

Making bread can be time consuming. One needs to knead it properly and wait for it to rise before even putting it in the oven. But soda bread is far quicker. It takes only 10 minutes to mix and about 20 minutes in the oven, with no waiting around at all! No yeast required… it is the perfect starting point for beginners.
